About this Hike
The Walla Walla slithers through a deep canyon where this trail descends. This hike begins at the Rough Fork Trailhead and meanders 3.3 miles through forests and meadows, ending at a fortbridge over the the South Fork Walla Walla. Hikers, mountain bikers and horseback riders all enjoy this trail so be on the lookout for others.
Getting There
To Rough Fork Trailhead:
1. From the town of Weston, drive 20 miles on Highway 204 and then take a left onto Forest Service Road 64 at Tollgate.
2. Continue past the Tollgate Guard Station and Jubilee Lake to Forest Service Road 6411.
3. Follow Forest Service Road 6411, then turn right onto Forest Service Road 6043 and continue until you reach Mottet Campground.
4. Just beyond the campground, the trailhead will be on your left.
